A couple days ago I was walking through our neighborhood midday and saw a woman holding a newborn in the way we all like to hold newborns like they will drip between our fingers if we don’t have enough skin on them and protect them from the world we once knew that has become big and scary when said newborn made their appearance. It was that moment baby girl that I realized you are now a full fledged baby! We held onto those newborn days a little longer then most being you were so tiny when you were born but now I look at your yummy ham hawks of thighs and your cubby little face and realized I am the mother to a full fledged BABY. I’m so happy with you and my life right now.

I know it’s uber odd but I think WAY down the road to when you’re all grown up baby. I’m actually looking forward to you having your own babies being able to help you with handing down everything you are teaching me now. I’m looking forward to our daughter/mother relationship and what it will become then. I can’t wait to have little grand babies and see your dad with them. He’s a GREAT dad but seriously will be the best papa. Does looking forward by so many years make me really crazy? I guess I’m enjoying having so much love in my life that you brought baby that I can’t wait for the family to grow even more….yes I know I’m crazy for looking so forward when we don’t know what the future holds.

One thing that make me realize you’re really not a newborn anymore is your recent adventure, TEETHING! Yes, three months and teething. It’s been a rough road so far for you little girl (hence above photo). Those little buggers are waking you up every fifteen mins when you nap and make falling sleep for bed nearly impossible. You have two little white caps on you lower two front teeth. You’re lip snapping, drooling, and trying to eat EVERYTHING you can get in your mouth. It’s still hard for you little girl being your hand coordination still makes it tough for you to hold onto things for long periods of times. We’ve been giving you teething tabs, teething gel, and our bodies to gnaw on to help you get those monster teeth through. Hopefully they pop out quickly and don’t take their sweet time so it’s over quick!
