It's again almost 60 in NYC. Best. Winter. Ever. Spring it seems will be giving us an early and very welcomed visit. And with Spring comes my busy season. South by South West is the biggest music conference in the US and being I own a record label the conference is a yearly work trip. Last year was a complete disaster on so many levels. That combined with some personal things pretty much made March 2011 the worst month of my entire life. I'm spending every little piece of energy in my body to make sure there's not a repeat of that bad month this year prepping not only all the "businessy stuff" but also myself.
I've been on a serious health kick for a few weeks now. I noticed I was depending too much on the caffeine in the morning and the sleeping pills at the night and grew so tired of just feeling like crap all the time causing serious mood swings. I firstly cut out caffeine. I then got myself a juicer and have been on a juice cleanse for a week and a half now. The first few days sucked honestly, like really really sucked. But, around day 6 I started feeling a little better than by day 8 I started feeling awesome. I've added daily yoga into the mix too.
My mind is clear, I'm starting to loose a lot of the weight I've been struggling with since I had G, and best of all I'm handling the stress of this busy season so well. I'm learning how to just be, calm. It's all a learning process. I'm learning to listen to my body and it's needs, really tune into myself for the first time ever. After only a few weeks I feel like a new person, like I've been reborn (that sounds so creepy!). I highly recommend juicing if you've never tried it before, let me know if you have any questions.
