A trip to Toronto.
I lovelovelove Toronto. It's like a clean and friendly NYC, who could want more!? Every year I go I leave thinking "I could live here". This year was no exception when I headed up in June for NXNE. Right before I left I started working on a project with the awesometasticular Squarespace so I headed up north for multible companies including my bands.
We had the most beautiful hotel room on the 16th floor of the Hyatt.
Most of the time this year was spent at this table in the lobby cafe working my heart away with my business associate Ryan doing 108353232872487 meetings, it was a blast. I have to say I'm at my happiest at conferences, work all day surrounded in like minded people, eat great food and network all night, a business woman's heaven.
Timmy Hoes!!!!! I was so busy I only had two drinks there...craziness.
We had a hugely successful event. My bands were the first and official bands to ever play the pool deck at the Hyatt Regency in Toronto during NXNE. While it was an adventure how we got to that point, it was worth every thing that got us there. The sun was setting during Gangstagrass' set and the CN tower lit up in the background. The best food was served prepared by the hotel's chef himself and the open bar kept everyone happy. So many awesome companies and people came out to the gig it was a very magical night for all involved.
The following Saturday the band did an in-store at this great little rock clothing store called dusk on West Queens Street. Over all a highly successful week for all.
We rocked a panel Everything Independent + Squarespace + Green Light Go = Awesome.
So many nights out fun being had, pool parties, BBQs, parties, and the like. So much so we collected an epic 8 "lost keys" over the 7 days. My BFF Cait tagged along filling in for an assistant and wing man.
Some people can't hang...
After the amazing week catching up with friends and working our hearts out we jumped in the van with the band for the drive back to NYC. I'm planning to head back to Toronto this August and can't wait.
