Fall is quickly approaching. I love the feelings of knowing life will soon be taken over by knitting, cinnimon, nutmeg, cool nights mixed with warm cuddles, this season is just so poetic and full of love. In inticipation I’ve been slowly pulling out my scarves, purchased an amazing fall hat, and am in auto pilot preparing for the season I addore so. Layers, oranges, boots, le sigh.
G, it’s official, you are a little girl who likes the girly things. If I even attempt to where a scarf out of the house you beg and beg to wear it. And you’ll actually wear them, all day if I let you no matter how big. I was thinking today about a post I wrote long before you were born about a mission I was on to learn all thing girly before I had you. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned about being a parent is if you dig deep down and are well intentioned, you’re fully prepared to be the parent you want to be. Not to say it isn’t a lot of work to grow, learn, and except your faults because it’s a long road with many speed bumps along the way. Yet, I’m slowly learning you don’t need to change yourself to be the parent you want to be. So, while I may not wear makeup everyday ever, G you have attached to one of the most girly things I do, dressing up for fall which just makes this season that much sweeter. Happy almost fall.
