One of the things I’m looking forward to doing with you this summer is strapping you into a baby dangler and hopping the bus with your Dad to head down the the Brooklyn Farmers Market. Over the past year your Dad and I have paid more and more attention to eating better and filling our (soon to be again after your born) vegetarian diet with fresh and healthy food. One of the challenges of where we use to live is that the grocery stores never had really fresh produce let alone anything organic. This led me to many trips to the Union Square Farmers market in search of yummy goodies. There is nothing like a meal of farm fresh eggs and yummy baked that day bread. Last weekend your Dad and I headed to the Market in search of a mid day snack and brought home the above plant which was at the time just and few lil green leaves poking through the dirt. Unbelievably, four days later with the help of the HIGH heat in our apartment three lil buds of the seven bloomed. You’re dad decided three for a reason: one for him, one for me, and one for you. That comment made me smile all day, your Dad has a way of being really cute sometimes like this.

I have day dreams of this summer of the three of us wandering around the market in search of goodies and picnicking in the park with the summer sun shining down and taking in the new life you’re creating for us. Summer please come soon!
