So little girl if you ever have a baby of your own you’ll be wondering what your body will look like post baby. I think I should start from the beginning for this post. Your mother is little, not always little as in weight but as in height and over all size. For most of my teen years I weighed between 110lbs and 115lbs. Being this short even one pound extra goes a long way on this frame so even at such a low weight I still had a little pudge. I was never super skinny or over weight. When I went to college I played soccer and gained a whole ton of muscle which put my weight up to 125lbs. Again not skinny but not over weight but healthy for sure. It was over the last few years that I really let myself go. See in my mind you were always planned, I knew I would be having you young even before I knew your daddy! I always said to myself when I was happily married and at 135lbs that “hey I’m going to have a baby so what’s the point of loosing a bunch of weight to gain it all back when I’m pregnant?”…..and did i gain weight! I gained a whopping 50lbs when I was pregnant! I was 5’2” and almost 200lbs! Now, before you say OMG?! My mom the fatty! Most of the weight was water. I was SO swollen with you I could hardly move.
After I gave birth within the first week I dropped 30lbs. I swear it was all water. And currently at 3 months post birth I’m five pounds away from my pre-prego weight. Now that I’ve had you I’m following up with the deal I made with myself years ago to get in shape again after I have a baby. My ultimate goal weight is 115lbs again but I know that will take months. My summer goal weight is 126lbs. I’ve started biking with your Dad’s bike and am taking a free yoga program in a local park soon. Eventually when I can afford to again I’m going to go back vegetarian and maybe do some work out videos or something. I’m making sure not to put too much pressure on myself or do too much at once so I stick to it. Also I’m not giving into my sweet tooth as much. Here’s some other post birth body facts:
-I have a few stretch marks in my hips and belly that didn’t show up till post birth odd huh?
-My buddah belly is softer these days
-As I cut down on you breast feeding sessions the more “loose” and “soft” my boobs have become
-My boobs look like they have been through war with all the stretch mark they managed to get
-NO spider veins from the pregnancy even with how swollen I was
-I still swell up easily since having you- maybe I’m still not drinking enough water?
-Over all as time goes by things are moving back and starting to look like them selves again which I’m happy about
OH YEAH ! I cute my hair off yesterday! Yippy for Mom hair harhar!
