Why Hello lil one (even though by the time you’re reading this you won’t be so lil anymore!),
The above photo is of your Dad who also wrote that wonderful entry before this one. The reason I posted a photo of him is because a funny thing happened last week related to how your dear old Dad was born. You dropped last week and it has been fascinating seeing the changes it has made in my body. My tummy is a different shape, I’m walking differently, and my back hurts in ALL new places. Just in case your unfamiliar with what dropping is, it’s when the baby’s head (yours!) drops down into the lower bone structure to prepare for birth. It’s exciting becuase it’s the first sign that you’re getting more ready to come out and it’s scary because it’s the first sign that you’re getting more ready to come out. Hey, I’m the first one to admit while this becoming a parent thing is exciting and amazing it’s equal parts scary and shocking being it’s venturing into unknown territory. So how does this happen to related to the cute man in the picture above? Well, you didn’t drop on your own, you were aided by the cobblestone street of little Italy in Manhattan when my assistant and I mistakenly took the wrong turn over the Manhattan Bridge trying to get home after grabbing gas in an unfamiliar neighborhood. Your Grandmother was actually put into labor with your Dad from a cobblestone street in Montreal when her and your Grandfather were in a bus. So there you have it you’re already your Father’s Daughter even by your actions in the womb!
